I never realized how much I should appreciate a dishwasher until I didn't have one. I've lived at this house for a year without one, that's all I could handle. I found a cheap portable (nice too!) dishwasher on craigslist in Orlando. Just so happened I had a class in Orlando the next day. It all worked perfectly and it was totally affordable. New ones cost anywhere from $500 and up! I was almost willing to pay that because I was so desperate! Got mine for $75. I'm so thankful for it now. It was going to be necesary once I get pregnant again.

To all moms and soon to be moms:

Check out this website. It's a consignment store that only comes around 2x a year. I'm actually a consignor for this one as well. : ) There are such good deals on baby/maternity everything! If you go, go ASAP. The good stuff goes quick. This is the type of event that crazy moms will push each other out of the way to get to something first, the deals are THAT good. Just putting the word out there!

Sooo many useful ideas on here!

Water vs. Juice

Ok, so unfortunately Ethan has started something I had hoped he never would. He refuses to drink water. I saw it happen to his two older cousins, and now him. He's not even 2 yet! You always hear how important water is and all the negative effects of drinking just juice. I'm mainly worried about the condition of his teeth if this continues. And I don't give him kool-aid, ever. It's always 100% juice. Ideas anyone?

What I used to do was give him a full sippy cup of juice in the morning, when that was finished I'd give him half juice half water, when that was finished I'd give him plain water. That routine eased water in there at least, and he would drink it. But I must admit, I know juice tastes better, and I don't drink water like I should either. And I've kinda slacked off the habit of doing that. And now he's addicted to juice. And his dad wasn't much help either, mostly because Ethan has him wrapped around his little finger. If Ethan ever cries for juice and throws his cup full of water across the room, Derrick immediately gives in and pours the water out and gives him what he wants.

Is that poop I smell?

Something quite hilarious I just experienced.......I'm sitting on the couch working on homework in my precious period of time that Ethan is napping. I am in my own world concentrating really hard on what I'm doing, the baby monitor sitting next to me. Then subconsciously I smell a poopy diaper and almost go to stand to change it, when I realize, you can't smell through the baby monitor. I'm so deep in the routine of mommy-hood, that it's messing with my subconscious! How funny is that! And no, just incase you're wondering it wasn't me that stunk either. It wasn't anything. Hehe.....

What comes around goes around.

So you know how the wallet I found happened to belong to my very close friend's boyfriend's parents? Well she met them for the first time over the weekend. And Rachel told her BF that it was me that found it, he then told his mom that I was Rachel's friend. And the mom gave Rachel $50 to give to me as a thank you!

Well that worked out well. : )

On a not so happy note, I was watching this show last night called Teen Pregnancy Nightmares. I won't go into detail because it is horrendous. But it actually brought me to tears and I couldn't watch it anymore. It made me nauseous what one of the those girls did to her baby just so no one would find out about it. I am a major Pro Life advocate. It made me ashamed that someone in my species, something in this country, in this time could behave in such a way. The girl had told one person in the whole world, her best friend. And when she told the best friend what she had done, the friend was so disturbed that she turned her in to the police. Luckily the girl got a life sentence with no possibility of parole.
